What you need to get your HC (Constantmesh) Licence- You need to have held a class MR or HR Licence for 12 months or more.
- Must have current manual driving experience.
- Pass an RMS HC Knowledge Test ($40 RTA fee)
- Pass an RMS Eyesight test
- At that time ask for a CBA (Competency Based Assessment) Logbook and CBA guide book. ($24 RMS fee)

- A deposit is required to secure and confirm your booking.
- FAIR GO POLICY – At ABC Driving School (Western Suburbs) we realise that the cost of the HC course appears to be quite high. However, UNLIKE many other driving schools we do not ask for full payment up-front. The deposit is like a safety net. As you begin and continue your training and assessment, you and your instructor will discuss your progress and possible options.
- Option 1 – continue training and complete within the originally quoted 16 hours at $115 per hour - total cost $1840
- Option 2 – recognise that for you, 16 hours may not be enough, and you may choose to continue at only $115 per hour untilyou meet the course requirements - total cost greater than $1840
- Option 3 – recognise that for you, the Roadranger gearbox is proving to be more difficult to master than you had anticipated. You may choose to transfer to our HC Synchromesh model and acquire a Heavy Combination Licence with a ‘B Restriction’ (for details see our HC Synchromesh webpage) - total cost $1840

ABC DRIVING SCHOOL (WESTERN SUBURBS) EASTERN CREEK, PARRAMATTA*, PENRITH* AND CAMPBELLTOWN* - The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel without 72 hours notice OR you are assessed and found not to have current manual experience.
- After successfully finishing the course, return to your local RMS and exchange your completed Logbook for your upgraded Licence ($24 RMS fee)
- No RMS truck driving test required
- MUST HAVE CURRENT Heavy Vehicle driving experience.
- NOTE: Red P1 and Green P Plate holders are not eligible to apply for a HC Licence.
Course Cost- Class HC (Constantmesh) is charged at only $115 per hour. Two day course (2x8 hours) total $1840 (18 and 10 Speed Roadranger Constantmesh Gearbox available)
