ABC Driving School has a fantastic safety record.

Our instructors and trainers have the required skills and knowledge to correctly assess the skills level of each learner driver and to individualise the training in various road traffic environments that match, challenge and build on the level of skill.

Our Heavy Vehicle Training Centre, based at Arndell Park (near Blacktown) allows us to undertake some elements of the course in an off-road environment – out of the traffic and the rain. For example Load Securing and Pre-departure checks.

Our truck driver trainers and assessors have years of industry experience, but they won't bore you with stories of crossing the Nullarbor - Your day will be filled with useful tips that will help to make you job ready. Your first contact with the booking office will probably include a 'needs analysis'. Just a few questions to help us to understand what you wan the licence for and which of our assessors will have the most relevant experience.

Our Heavy Vehicles are also fitted with dual brakes giving peace of mind to students as they learn to manage the larger dimensions of the trucks.

Our heavy vehicle courses are modelled on a typical truck driver's working day with workplace scenarios, rest periods and fatigue management factored into the training. We have an strong emphasis on Workplace Safety. We require trainers and students to wear Personal Protective Equipment including gloves (for load securing exercises), enclosed shoes and High Visibility Vests when inside the warehouse and around traffic.

Our instructors recognise the importance of quality rest times to keep themselves alert to the changing road and traffic environment throughout the day. That is why they do not work 24/7!

Although we can offer car lessons and truck courses most days of the week, availability does differ between locations and depending on licence class.

Our friendly office staff will be able to assist you make your booking if your preferred date is not available.
